I have only just purchased Squad and before making a fool of myself in a game, I thought I would give the shooting range a try.
Unfortunately it keeps freezing all the time and I was just wondering if this is just in the shooting range, or will it happen when I start playing for real?
I have done a wee bit of research and some people say that the game freeze's if you use an AMD processor (which I do). Is there any truth in this?
Thanks in advance for your help folks
Managed to cobble a better system together and now when I go onto the Squad shooting range, no more freezing (hooray!) I am now ready to start playing with you guys (if you will still have me?) and really start to enjoy the game.
It seems that it is my FPS dropping from around 60 - 80 to 0 sometimes and everything freeze's.
I have had the settings to the lowest, but this makes no difference, I have also switched other things off (as suggested by some on the Squad forum) but nothing is helping to keep my FPS rate stable. The more research that I have done, the more I am reading about people saying that the game doesn't run correctly with an AMD processor (something to do with the coding). The thing is, I don't want to join a game with you guys and then find that the game keeps freezing and then not only will it spoil my enjoyment, it could well spoil yours as well. This doesn't happen in other game that I play (some games I get well over 150 FPS).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I used to get freezing when I had v-sync on, turned it off and its fine, there is a thing in the game at the minute where the server will freeze for everyone but that's once in a blue moon but other than that its the first i have heard of it that bad
